We all need to feel seen, heard, and understood. Having worked within diverse settings and with individuals across the lifespan for over a decade, I have gained significant experience helping those who struggle with feeling lost, lonely, and disconnected from themselves and others. Chronic illness and caregiving roles can dominate our lives. Anxiety and depression can be crippling. Grief and loss can devastate us. Sometimes we can lose ourselves in others. Let’s talk about finding you again.
I like to approach sessions with a mix of practical coping skills as well as exploring deeper roots of long-established patterns. I tailor my approach to each individual’s needs, meeting you where you are to address current stressors and to examine patterns that no longer serve you. I think therapy should be approachable and allow space for all emotions. Let’s laugh, let’s cry, let’s feel.
For individuals who have problems with falling asleep or waking during the night, I have been trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I), a comprehensive, solution-focused method that the National Institutes of Health has endorsed as an effective and preferred method for treating insomnia. CBT-I has been found to be more effective than sleeping pills as it addresses the underlying causes of insomnia—thoughts and behaviors. Through this structured treatment, many individuals experience significantly improved sleep. Some of my intersecting identities are:
